Pfizer Inc is proud to present its Medical & Academic Partnerships
(MAP) grants – a reflection of Pfizer’s commitment to advancing research,
innovation, and education in academic medicine, health literacy, health
disparities, health policy, and public health.
On this Web site, you will find information about 14 MAP grant and
award programs which provide financial support for fellows, scholars, and host
institutions in a wide range of therapeutic areas, health literacy topics, and
public health issues. Recipients of these nationally competitive MAP grants are
selected by independent academic advisory boards made up of leaders in each
program’s field. Information about additional Pfizer grant programs is also
available.
To learn more about a specific MAP program and to download a brochure, you may
search for a grant in several ways: by
eligibility,
by
therapeutic area or discipline , or by
program type. For an overview of this year’s MAP grant offerings and
some additional Pfizer programs, visit the
Grants Index
page. To start the application process, click on the
Apply For A Grant button above or click on the Apply Online link from a specific grant’s page.
Since its inception in 1984, Pfizer has sponsored more than 900 MAP
grants, supporting innovative research and enhancing education for scholars and
institutions across the United States. To search for MAP alumni, as well as
current and past board advisors, visit the
MAP
Directory of Grant Recipients & Board Members.
Every year, members of MAP’s Academic Advisory Boards meet in New York City to
select that year’s award recipients. In 2007, MAP also provided an opportunity
for these board members, as well as current grantees, academic and medical
leaders, to participate and engage in dialogue through the congenial setting of
the Medical Futures Forum. To view highlights from this year’s event, visit the
Pfizer
Medical Futures Forum
