Based? Caveat Emptor!
On March 23-24, 2005, over 100 leading physician-scientists from multiple
disciplines will convene at the Essex House hotel in New York City to discuss
the future of medicine and to recognize and select this year's promising minds;
recipients of competitive grants in academic medical research and education.
A dinner will take place on the evening of Wednesday March 23rd and will feature
this year's keynote speaker
Bryan R. Luce,
PhD, MBA. Dr. Luce is Founder and Chairman of the Board of MEDTAP
International, Inc. Dr. Luce will be making remarks that expand upon his
article that is currently published in Health Affairs titled "Evidence Based?
Caveat Emptor!" A respondent panel will follow Dr. Luce's remarks.
Cathryn M. Clary, MD, MBA, Vice President of US Medical, Pfizer Inc
will moderate the panel. The panel respondents include:

On March 24, 2005, eighteen individual Academic Advisory Boards will meet to
select the 2005 grant recipients.
